Clinical Observation on Carcinoma of the Cervix

Abstract
A Clinical observation on 115 cases-of cervical carcinoma including operated cases during the, period of January 1963 to September: 1965 was made with statistical analysis.
The results were as follows.
1) The number of cervical cancer was 115 cases out of 4;002 cases of the total, out-patients,._ thus constituting its incidence 2 8 percent.
2) Subdivision of 115 cases was made according to the clinical _ stage ; Stage 0. 3 cases(2,6 % ),
Stage I: 18 cases(15,7%), Stage II: 49 cases(42,6%), Stage III: 36 cases(31,3 ), Stage IV 9 cases (7,8%),- respectively.
3) The cases with stage 0 and I were more predominant in cities than rural districts but the stage II and more advanced cases were more predominant in the rural districts than, in cities.
4) Age distribution¢¥ of cervical cancer was ranged¢¥, between, 27 to 74 with the maximun incidence between 41 to 50 years of age.
5) Maximum incidence in, duration of marital life among cervical cancer patients was ranged from 21 to 30 years and the shortest marital life was ,4 years and the longest marital life 58 years.
6) The age of menarche shows its peak in.17 .years and 88,7% of them occurred between.15 to 18 years of age.
The age of marriage shows its peak in 18 years and 26,5% of them were married between 17 to 20 years of age.
The age of the first delivery shows its peak in 20., years and 75,7% of - them were first, delivered between 18 to 22 years of age.
7) Gravidity between, 5 to 10 times were 78 cases(67,8%) and its peak , was 8 times and average 6,7 times. Parity between 4 to 8 times were 73 cases(63,5¡Æ%) and its peak was 6 times and average 5,2 times 8) 5 cases were combined with pregnancy and its incideng was 4,3%.
9) Occurrence of lymphnode metastases according to the stage was as follows; Stage 1 30%, Stage II 44,8 % respectively.
10) Thirteen cases or 81,2% out of total 16 cases involved the primary group of lymphnodes after Henriksen, among which 3 cases were stage I, and 10 cases stage 11, and 3 cases stage 11 or 18,8% to the total 16 :cases involved secondary group of lymphnode as well as pnmafy group after Henriksen.
11) One case or 23%, developed uretero-vaginal fistula post-operatively.
